Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
Additional Experience: Must have ICU and ED experience; NICU experience preferred
Prior Travel Experience: Not required (accepts first-time travelers)
Certifications Required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- Louisiana State License
Technical Skills: Epic experience required
Work Schedule
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
- On Call Requirement: No
- Float Requirement: N/A
Compliance and Documentation
Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
Drug screening within 30 days of start (includes comprehensive panel)
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (recent testing required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
- Varicella vaccinations or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation (required Oct 1 – Mar 31) with exemptions accepted
Competency exams required annually (Medication Test/Pharmacology, Dysrhythmia/EKG, Core Parts I-III)
State license and NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start
Additional Notes
- Accepts first-time travelers; prior travel experience is not mandatory
- Must meet all certification and competency requirements as per facility standards
- Candidates must comply with employee appearance policy and facility-specific documentation requirements
