Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Santa Monica, California

Contract Length: 16 weeks

Job Description

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams independently
• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience required
• Certifications required: CRT (R)(M), ARRT (R)(M), BLS
• Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour day shifts (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Required Experience

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Mammography)
• Minimum years of experience: 1 year in mammography
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications & Licenses

• CRT (R)(M) and ARRT (R)(M) certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• State License: Must have physical copy of CDPH RHB Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and Fluoroscopy permits for X-Ray techs
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit/specialty (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) – verify as needed

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or government-issued photo ID
• Background checks including Social Security Trace, National Criminal History (7 years), Sex Offender Search, FACIS level 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG – all within 30 days of start
• Education verification: Diploma or official transcripts required
• Facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, abuse reporting, HIPAA training, annual education modules, and photo for badge
• Health documents: Physical exam within 1 year, fit mask test, immunizations (Tetanus, TB test, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella), drug testing (9 panel within 12 months), flu vaccination or declination, COVID vaccine or declination as per facility policy
• Employment history verification for last 5-7 years with explanations for gaps
• References: 2 required, supervisor level or above, one within last year

• This position is part of an AFSCME bargaining unit
• Onsite fit testing available under strict guidelines if needed
• Facility requires annual background checks, but Aya Healthcare requires annual background checks for all direct candidates
• Candidates must complete various online training modules and provide proof of completion prior to start
