Job Overview

Location: Dothan, Alabama
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 4x12 hours, 18:45–07:15
Scheduling: Block scheduling may be accommodated; every other weekend required
Patient ratio: 1:2
Floating: May float to CCU as needed
Local candidates: Not accepted within a 90-mile radius

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alabama
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
Unit cares for neurocritical care patients, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, status epilepticus, spinal cord injury, and other neurological diagnoses requiring neurocritical care intervention
Special equipment includes intracranial pressure monitors and external ventricular drains
Charting system: EPIC
