Job Overview
- Location: Dothan, Alabama
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 4x12 hours, 18:45–07:15
- Scheduling: Block scheduling may be accommodated; every other weekend required
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- Floating: May float to CCU as needed
- Local candidates: Not accepted within a 90-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alabama
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Unit cares for neurocritical care patients, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, status epilepticus, spinal cord injury, and other neurological diagnoses requiring neurocritical care intervention
- Special equipment includes intracranial pressure monitors and external ventricular drains
- Charting system: EPIC
