Job Opportunity: Case Manager (Registered Nurse)

Job Details

• Primary Unit: Orthopedic unit
• Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, every 3rd weekend required
• Charting System: Epic

Required Qualifications

• License: Massachusetts RN license required
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) required for submission
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Valid driver’s license or state ID
• Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release (time sensitive)
• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, including SSN trace, county search, national criminal search, and federal databases
• Education verification of highest completed degree (transcript acceptable if verification unavailable)
• State license verification and NURSYS verification within 30 days prior to start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions
• Drug testing within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)
• Immunizations or documented immunity/declinations for:

  • TB (2 PPDs or equivalent testing) and TB questionnaire
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Influenza (seasonal vaccine or declination during flu season)
  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
• References: 2 within the last 3 years
• Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist updated annually as applicable

Additional Requirements and Notes

• Must pass medication and telemetry exams (if applicable) with a minimum score of 80% on the first day of orientation
• CCM certification is preferred and required for submission
• Acute care experience is essential for this role
• Background checks and compliance attestations must be completed and uploaded as required
• Declinations for certain vaccines may not be accepted for pediatric, maternity, or NICU areas (not applicable here but noted for awareness)
