Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each; 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

• Position requires experience in both CT and X-ray modalities.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in CT and X-ray required.
• Rotating weekend shifts with no on-call duties.
• Time off requests during specified holidays and holiday weeks will not be accommodated.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted; must be current and uploaded as actual certificate (no screenshots/photos).
• ARRT (R) & (CT) certifications required.
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment; confirm with program management if unclear.

Required Licenses

• Valid state license for Radiology Technology (CT Tech) must be current and verifiable.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check must be completed within 45 days of start and updated annually.
• Background check must include a 7-year SSN trace with complete address history, alias verification, national and state criminal checks, sex offender registries, abuse registries, and federal criminal extended searches.
• Alias Name Attestation required if any alias names appear on background check.
• Drug testing required within 45 days of start, covering a comprehensive panel including amphetamines, benzodiazepines, cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, opiates, and others.
• Negative TB test (QGold or Skin Test) within 1 year of start; T-spot tests not accepted.
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, APRN, or PA confirming fitness for duty.
• Immunization and health documentation required, including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccination (or approved exemption), and others as applicable.
• Color Blind Testing required within 12 months prior to start.
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests required.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license or state ID (color copy, current).
• Passport-style photo with solid background required for badge.
• Employment application with 7-year work history, no unexplained gaps over 30 days.
• Two supervisory references from the past 3 years.
• Unit-specific skills checklist updated within the last year.
• Onboarding attestation and review of facility-specific documents required.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
• CT Technologist experience within the last year.
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• ARRT (CT) certification.

Important Notes

• Travelers cannot request time off during major holidays and holiday weeks (including but not limited to Valentine’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day).
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility have specific pay considerations (not included here).
• All certifications and verifications must not expire within 45 days of assignment start.
• Screenshots or photos of certifications are not accepted; actual certificates must be uploaded.
