Job Opportunity: Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech
Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Description
- Start date: ASAP
- Floating within scope of practice may be required
- EMR system used: EPIC
- Block scheduling may be discussed during interview
- Locals allowed to apply
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Polysomnographer license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of Polysomnographer experience within the last year
- Certification: RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) OR Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years (includes SSN trace, nationwide sex offender search, education verification)
- Education verification required; if completed outside the county, US equivalency documentation must be provided
- Primary source verification of state license required
- Two professional references completed within 1 year of start
Health and Safety Requirements
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe (options include 2 PPDs within 30 days or QuantiFERON Gold within 12 months)
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination form
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); mask required if declined
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Photo for badge
- Completion and signing of confidentiality, crime disclosure, potential conflict of interest, and compliance checklist documents
Additional Notes
- No radius restrictions for travel
- No prior travel experience required
- Washington state-specific suicide prevention training required if working under a multi-state license (for nurses; not applicable here but noted for awareness)
