Location: Oak Park, Illinois

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform Cardiac Cath Lab procedures within the Cath/Interventional Radiology (IR) department.
• Cath lab experience is required; IR experience is a plus.
• Training for IR procedures will be provided as needed.
• On-call duties after regular work hours, including weekends and holidays.
• On-call days vary between 10-14 days per month.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Cath Lab Technologist experience.
• Must hold a valid AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
• Must hold a valid IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) certification.
• Prior Cath Lab experience within the last year is required.

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA certification required.
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment.
• Completion of Illinois Mandatory Reporting Training for clinical patient-facing roles.
• Background checks including criminal, alias, and federal exclusions within 30 days of start.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming fitness to work without restrictions.
• Drug testing (9-panel, excluding marijuana) within 90 days of start.
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • TB screening (Qgold/TSPOT or PPD) with follow-up if positive.
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or declination form.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
  • Tdap vaccine (declinations accepted with prior vaccination record).
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption for the 2025-2026 season.
• Fingerprinting and Illinois Department of Public Health Healthcare Worker Registry enrollment required if applicable.

Additional Requirements

• Must provide 2 professional references within the last 3 years.
• Employment history covering the last 7 years with explanations for any gaps over 30 days.
• Completion of all required facility-specific forms and training prior to start.
• Compliance with all state and facility-specific health and safety protocols.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• On-site fit mask testing will be completed by the facility.
• COVID-19 vaccination documentation is not required but can be collected if available.
