Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Tyler, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

36 private rooms serving patients from young adults to geriatric.
Focus on medical-level cardiac care and recovery from cardiac interventions such as:
- Cardiac surgery
- Coronary artery stent placement
- Pacemaker implant
Also admits hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients.

Shift

3 shifts of 12-hour nights

Patient Ratios

Approximately 1 nurse to 5-6 patients

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Telemetry nursing experience of at least 2 years, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross as applicable:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Chemotherapy (CHEMO) certification
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
