Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab (Travel/Contract)
Location: Odessa, Texas
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8 AM to 5 PM (40 hours/week)
Weekend Scheduling: None
Job Summary
Provide physical therapy services in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I9 or attestation.
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service).
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation.
- Background check: 7-year criminal history check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, including SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender registry, and FACIS level 3.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for every contract renewal/extension.
- Primary source verification of state license.
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
- Clinical references: proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
- Employment application/resume.
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit.
- Performance evaluation if worked over 1 year; internal evaluation if over 2 years with the agency.
Certifications (Must be current and from ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – as required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – as required
Health Requirements
- Initial physical exam and annual updates attesting ability to meet physical demands.
- Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year, updated annually; if past positive, clear chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire.
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within the last 12 months (instant acceptable).
