Work Schedule

• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Call requirement: 12-18 days per month
• Weekend requirement: 2-3 weekends per month
• Float requirement: Provide general department first assistant coverage including ortho, vascular, gynecology, thoracic, and general surgeries when cardiac cases are not applicable

Job Description

• Must be able to independently and proficiently harvest veins endoscopically in the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
• Scrub required
• Must have experience with 3s or 4s in vein harvesting and cardiac areas
• CVOR experience is required
• Will accept Surgical First Assistant (SFA) or Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
• 5 years of experience strongly preferred
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• CVOR First Assist with 5 years of experience
• CVOR First Assist experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting
• Able to work independently in the CVOR
• Able to scrub independently
• Experience with 3s or 4s in vein harvesting and cardiac areas
• CVOR experience
