Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology
Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Details
- Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
- One night of call per week
- Every seventh weekend on call
- Floating required to other units or campuses as needed (limited to qualified areas with documented competencies)
Job Description
- Work setting: Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures
- Must have experience in IR and Special Procedures
- Medication system used: Omnicell
- Documentation system: EPIC (minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience in Special Procedures work setting
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (R)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Experience with EPIC documentation system
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of identity and eligibility to work (I9, Driver’s License/State ID)
- Background checks including 7-year history, alias searches, and state/county checks for all places lived/worked in last 7 years
- Ongoing monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks during assignment
- Education verification (highest level required)
- Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Drug screening within 1 year, updated annually (5-panel minimum)
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working in high-risk areas)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers or vaccinations
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (not required for remote workers)
- Respirator fit test to be completed onsite during orientation
Orientation and Training
- Completion of online modules within 72 hours of assignment (approximately 12 hours) required before start
- Pass/fail testing on medication and arrhythmia exams required for RNs and certain tech roles (not required for prebook or non-clinical)
- Annual competencies and core training exams required (Core Part I, II, III)
- Floating policy acknowledgment required annually
Additional Notes
- Badge photo required prior to start (passport-style, plain background)
- Must carry valid ID while on duty
- Floating is prioritized to home unit but required as needed
- Documentation and certifications must not expire within 30 days of assignment start
- Candidates with less than 1 year of experience with the staffing agency may require additional internal evaluations
