- Travel/contract role in Saint Louis, Missouri
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday–Friday
- Shift times rotate as needed: 7:15 AM–3:45 PM, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start date: 3–4 weeks after compliance clearance
- Floating may be required to other satellite locations in the area
- Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius
- Guaranteed hours
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
- Oncology (1 year of experience)
- Oncology experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Ability to access and draw from ports and central venous catheters (CVCs)
- Experience with PICC line care
- Experience with central line and implanted line care
- Knowledge of neutropenic precautions
Key responsibilities
- Work primarily in the lab/injection area
- Draw blood from ports and central venous access devices
- Perform port access and port care/management
- Complete central line blood draws and central line/implanted line care
- Provide PICC line care
- Recognize and communicate abnormal lab values
- Perform IM injections
- Follow isolation and neutropenic precautions
- Use strong assessment skills

- Government-issued ID required

- Unit-specific competency exam required
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- Drug screening required within 1 year of start
- TB documentation required
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Tdap documentation or declination required
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation required
- Hepatitis B declination required
- HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene policy, fingernail policy, and dress code policy must be completed before start
- Orientation modules required
- Vehicle registration form required for day shifts
