Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid Iowa RN license in hand
• Cardiac Stepdown experience with at least 1 year of experience
• Cardiac Stepdown experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Additional Requirements

• Resume must show 7 years of employment history or history back to college/technical school graduation, with no gaps greater than 30 days
• Employment verification is required for the last 7 years, and pending or incomplete verifications are not allowed
• Unit-specific skills checklist is required
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam is required for RNs
• Color blind testing is required
• Unit-specific competency exam is required
• Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III competency exams are required and must be kept current
• Annual physical or statement of health is required
• Fit test is required
• Tdap vaccination or declination is required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray is required
• Hepatitis B documentation is required
• Varicella documentation is required
• Rubeola documentation is required
• Mumps documentation is required
• Rubella documentation is required
• Drug screen is required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccination is preferred
• Mandatory reporter certification for child abuse and dependent adult abuse is required
• Background screening and state/federal exclusion checks are required within 30 days of start
• Education verification and diploma/transcript documentation are required
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement is required
• Learning lessons must be completed before start
