Medical Surgical Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract position in Nashville, Tennessee
- 16-week assignment
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- CPI or MAB
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- SANE / Forensic experience
- Correctional experience
Job Details
- Float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units, including forensics and inpatient units
- Must be comfortable working with the prison population
- Locals and first-time travelers are accepted
- Holiday rotation required for September-start contracts, with work expected on 3 of 6 designated holidays
- Contracts starting in September should extend into the new year for holiday coverage

- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- 2 clinical references
- Physical exam

- 9-panel drug screen including marijuana
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption
- Photo for badge

- Compliance acknowledgment
- Orientation guidebook review
- Associated business packet review
- LMS education modules and transcript completion
- Basic measuring of arrhythmias review/testing
