12-week assignment
Starts Monday, October 5, 2026
4 openings
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Every other weekend
36 hours of orientation
Combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department at a Level I/Level II Trauma Center
Department sees approximately 265 patients daily
Unit has 53 rooms
Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults

Adult and pediatric emergency care
Triage
Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
12-lead EKG/ECG
Multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
Blood product administration
Central line care and management
Phlebotomy and IV starts/maintenance
Continuous IV paralytics and sedation
Emergency medications and IV vasopressors
Procedural sedation monitoring
CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and hypothermia protocols
Orthopedic trauma
Pediatric abdominal pain, infection, respiratory infection, and seizures
Acute psychosis, drug overdose, psychiatric holds, suicidal patients, and violent behavior
BiPAP/CPAP and ventilator management
Chest tube management
ABG interpretation and intubation
Gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
Isolation precautions and PPE

Documentation system: EPIC
Medication system: Omnicell
Scrubs: Hunter Green
Provider coverage available 24/7: NP, hospitalist, and anesthesiologist
Support services available: Interpretation Services, IV Teams, Phlebotomy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Rapid Response, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and Transportation
