Overview

Travel/Contract assignment in Dayton, Ohio
13-week contract
Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
36- or 48-hour shifts available
Target patient ratio: 1:2
Unit runs 36 beds
Working with Tele/drips/vents
Navy Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
CVICU (1 year of experience)
CVICU experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Impella devices
Experience with post-cardiac surgery patients not directly from the operating room
Experience with pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and intervention procedures
Experience with pulmonary artery line and Swan Ganz monitoring
Experience with thermodilution PA catheter monitoring
Experience with arterial lines
Experience with mechanical ventilators
Experience with sheaths
Experience with dialysis
Experience drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs)
Experience with Epic
NIHSS
Must be able to read and interpret strips
Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting
Current resume/application
2 references from within 2 years of start, with 1 from a Manager/Supervisor/Charge RN
Skills checklist within 1 year prior to documentation due date and updated annually
7-year criminal background check
EPLS/GSA/SAM
HHS/OIG
Physical exam within 2 years of start
Negative TB or chest X-ray
Drug screen within 12 months prior to documentation due date
Annual health questionnaire
Candidate agreement
RespSafety clearance within 1 year of start
1-year work history verification if 2 professional references cannot be obtained
Government-issued photo ID
E-Verify
Proof of name change if applicable
NURSYS verification
State license verification
Medication test/pharmacology competency exam within 2 years of start
Unit-specific competency exam within 2 years prior to start
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 1 year of start
Will take first-time travelers

Preferred

Level 1 Trauma experience
Travel experience

Scheduling and Float

Must be available to work every other weekend/holiday
Traveler will be first to float at discretion
May float in/out of specialty clusters
If assigned to MVH, may float to main campus (Dayton), south campus (Centerville), and North Campus (Englewood)

Notes

Ohio license does not need to be in hand at signing
For 48-hour contracts, overtime is paid after 48 hours
No RTO will be added after the offer
RTO must be requested with initial submittal
