Schedule

• Night shift
• 3x12-hour shifts
• 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week

Assignment Length

• 14 weeks

Patient Population

• Adults to geriatrics

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of experience managing continuous IV cardiac medications (including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin, Bumex, Lasix, Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin, and insulin drips)
• Arrhythmia management experience

Clinical Setting and Skills

• Overflow IMCU
• Arrhythmia management
• Cardioversion
• Cardiac CHF
• Chest pain
• Renal
• Pulmonary conditions including COPD and pulmonary edema
• PE and DVT
• Stable A-fib, SVT, and bradycardia
• Surgical overflow including cholecystectomy, appendectomy, chest tubes, and biliary drains
• Occasional vascular, post-cardiac cath, TR band, DKA, ortho, and CVA overflow
• Basic Med Surg and arrhythmia knowledge

Work Conditions

• Ratio: 1:5-6
• 32-bed unit
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice
• Call is rare with a 2-hour response time
• Typically every other weekend
• Up to 7 days of requested time off per contract
• Must work major holidays as assigned

Additional Notes

• Full compliance is required before start
• Epic is preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
