Role Overview
- Critical Care Float Pool RN
- Travel/Contract assignment in Columbus, Ohio
- Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
Unit / Float Scope
- Supports Critical Care Float at University Hospital
- Floats to all ICUs within the system, including MICU, SICU, NCCU, CVICU, and Cardiology
- May also float throughout the organization if there is no need in Critical Care
- The unit cares for neuro ICU, surgical ICUs, MICUs x2, cardiology/diagnostics, CVICU, and transplants: Kidney, Liver, Lung, Heart
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- 2 years of Critical Care Float experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Cardiac Surgery patients
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
