Employment Details

• Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12 Nights (1800-0630)
• Unit Size: 18 bed unit
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery/OB

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Fetal Monitoring Certification
• License: Active Illinois RN license or in application process
• Floating: May float to pediatrics based on need
• Weekend Requirement: None
• RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

• Antepartum Care and Procedures:

  • Assist with sterile speculum exams
  • Non-Stress Tests (NST)
  • Oxytocin Challenge Tests (OCT)
  • Triage of obstetrical patients
  • Use of External Fetal Monitoring (EFM)

• Labor and Delivery Management:

  • Assist with high-risk deliveries
  • Circulate for C-sections
  • Postpartum care for vaginal and cesarean deliveries

• Neonatal Care:

  • APGAR scoring
  • Newborn assessments and care

• Pain Management:

  • Epidural anesthesia

Professional Topics and Skills

• Isolation Precautions/PPE
• Vaccine Administration
