Job Description

  • Specialty: MedTele, Post Cath, Cardiac drips
  • Patient Diagnoses:
    • Chest pain
    • CAD (Coronary Artery Disease)
    • DM (Diabetes Mellitus)
    • PVD (Peripheral Vascular Disease)
    • COPD exacerbation
    • COVID+
    • TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack)
    • Stroke
    • Hypertension
    • Atrial Fibrillation
    • Atrial Flutter
    • Bradycardia
    • Tachycardia
    • Rhythm management with cardiac drips (not titrated for blood pressure)
    • Wound infection
    • Cellulitis
    • GI bleed

Special Procedures/Unit Details

  • Pre & post angiogram/angioplasty (no sheath pulls)
  • PPM/AICD (Permanent Pacemaker/Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator)
  • LINQ recorder
  • General surgical procedures
  • EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
  • Colonoscopy
  • Cholecystectomy
  • Appendectomy
  • Wound debridement
  • Chest tube insertion
  • Central line catheter insertion
  • Thoracentesis
  • Paracentesis

Special Equipment

  • Telemetry monitoring

Requirements

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Telemetry experience
  • Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
  • 2 years of acute care experience

Preferred Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Additional Information

  • Documentation Required:
    • Current/valid Driver's License or State ID
    • Various certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.)
    • Health documents (e.g., TB test, vaccinations)
    • Background check and employment verification
    • Skills checklist and competency exams
