Job Description
- Position: CVOR RN
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Days
- On Call Requirements:
- 2 Friday nights (16:30-07:00)
- 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday on-call shifts (24-hour shifts)
- 4 weekday calls from 16:30-07:00 in a 6-week schedule
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum Experience: 2 years, including at least 1 prior travel assignment
- Required Skills:
- Scrub/Circulate for CVOR, Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery Cases
- Experience with Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Mitral Valve Replacement, Open Heart Surgery
- Cerner experience is mandatory
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Preferred Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Additional Information
- Patient Interaction: May come into contact with COVID-19 patients
- Vaccination Requirements:
- Flu vaccine required for all employees
- COVID-19 vaccination required (with options for medical and religious exemptions)
- Health Documents Required:
- Annual physical exam
- N95 fit test
- TB screening (IGRA or PPD)
- Vaccination records for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
Competencies and Assessments
- Competency exams in pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG recognition
- Background check and drug screening required prior to start
Floating Requirements
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
