Job Description

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Care for patient populations including Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry.
• Positions available on Medical Surgical Unit and Telemetry Unit.
• Must self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance; a basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week and must be passed to work on the Telemetry/Med Surg unit.
• Estimated work week: 36 hours with possible overtime.
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• ACLS certification required.

• 12 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa.
• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard RN experience for MedSurg/Telemetry roles (typically 1-2 years).
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.

• Background Check including Adult and Child Abuse checks.
• Drug Screen (9-panel within 30 days of start).
• Skills Checklist (completed within 12 months).
• License/Certificate Verification (primary source verification within 30 days of start).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification (American Heart Association or Apex Innovations only).
• OSHA Questionnaire.
• Other standard onboarding documents and attestations as required.

Additional Information

• Night shift position.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test during the first week of assignment to work on Telemetry/Med Surg unit.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is required.

This position is ideal for RNs with MedSurg and Telemetry experience looking for a travel assignment in Iowa with a 12-week commitment.
