RN - OBS

Overview

• Specialty: Step-down/PCU candidates only
• Location: Golden, Colorado
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 0700-1930
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Weekends: Rotating
• Float scope: May float to other Tele units, Ortho surgical trauma, and an acuity adaptable unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• CDU - Clinical Decision Unit (1 year of experience)
• CDU - Clinical Decision Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• DOU - Direct Observation Unit experience
• Telemetry experience
• Ortho Trauma experience
• Stepdown experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Certification as appropriate for the unit or service

Additional Notes

• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions
• Uses accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing
