Child Life Specialist

Job Summary

The Child Life Specialist assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates psychosocial patient and family needs for patients from neonatal to 17 years old (neonates, pediatric, adolescent). This role provides psychosocial support to patients and families, plans and coordinates activities to support the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of the child in both inpatient and outpatient settings, using age-appropriate principles of growth and development. The specialist also acts as an advocate for patients and families and performs related duties.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Child Life Specialist experience within the last year
Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS)
Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology, Education, or other health-related field

Additional Information

No prior travel experience required or specified.
Focus on pediatric psychosocial care across a broad age range (neonatal to adolescent).
