Surgical Technologist

Location: Paducah, Kentucky
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Call: 1–2 nights per week and every 3rd week

Role Summary

Serves as the primary scrub person or assistant for operative procedures, including case setup, intraoperative support, and post-case cleanup.

Required Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist (7 years of experience)
• Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS
• NBSTSA or CST or NCCT or TS-C
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program in the United States Armed Forces.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and supplies for scheduled cases
• Maintain the sterile field during setup and throughout procedures
• Pass instruments and assist the physician during surgery
• Perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts
• Assist with draping and patient positioning
• Complete post-case cleaning, instrument decontamination, and room turnover
• Ensure the surgical suite is disinfected and stocked for the next procedure
• Complete mandatory education and maintain compliance with required workplace and safety standards
