Overview

Role: RN Open Heart
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Schedule: Days, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract length: 20 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
CVICU experience

Job Focus

Provides nursing care using the nursing process
Assesses patients, develops and updates plans of care, and documents progress
Coordinates interdisciplinary care and collaborates with the health care team
Supports patient and staff safety, including lift equipment use as applicable
Performs bedside lab testing and obtains lab specimens
Provides patient and family education using age- and culturally appropriate teaching strategies
