Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Pediatrics)

Job Summary

Provide competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver care to pediatric patients in the operating room, including complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required.
• Organize and prioritize patient care based on patient and family needs.
• Assess patient readiness to learn and use appropriate patient education materials.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and revise plans of care.
• Communicate relevant patient information to ensure continuity of care.
• Anticipate discharge needs and support families in advocacy.
• Participate in unit goals, performance improvement, and cost-effective care initiatives.
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
• Engage in professional development and education to meet learning needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for North Carolina.
