Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Garden Grove, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM (Per Diem)

Job Description

• Emergency Department RN with recent experience and training within the last 2 years.
• Provide nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room setting.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Current ACLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• DCI/BVP certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Valid driver’s license.

Required Onboarding and Compliance

• COVID-19 vaccination series plus booster or completed declination.
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza (seasonal), Tdap.
• TB test within one year of start date.
• Annual respirator fit test.
• Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work.
• National criminal background check within one year of start date.
• Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
• Completion of specialty and core competency exams with a minimum score of 80%.
• Completion of skills checklist.
• Annual color-blind test.
• Sexual harassment prevention training valid for 2 years.
• Drug screening within 60 days of start date (minimum 10-panel including THC saliva test for California).
• Search of excluded individuals database (SAM/EPLS).
• Agency attestation document completed prior to start.

Additional Testing and Training Requirements

• Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80% score).
• Workplace Violence Prevention training.
• Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80% score).

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
• Contract length is interpreted as 13 weeks.
• This is a per diem position with a fixed evening to early morning shift.
