Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: Reno, Nevada
Facility: Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center
Hospital System: Prime Healthcare Foundation, Inc.
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Call requirement: one weekday and every 3rd weekend
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience
Required Credentials and Compliance for Onboarding
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- Professional license verification (Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration)
- Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport
Health & Immunizations
- COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or completed declination
- MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer
- Hepatitis B: Required, no declinations accepted
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31), no declinations accepted
- TB Test: Quantiferon or T-Spot test within past year with negative result OR two negative PPD skin tests within past year
- Varicella: Proof of 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer
- Tdap: Required, no declinations accepted
- Physical/Health Statement: Must be completed within 60 days of start, stating clear to work
- Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray: If applicable, negative chest x-ray within 3 months of positive test required
- Annual Respirator Fit Test: Optional but recommended (must be completed prior to start if not done onsite)

- Prime OIG (Office of Inspector General) check
- Prime Criminal Background Check (National, within one year of start)
- Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion search
- Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification) - agency attestation accepted
- Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials uploaded)
- Prime Badge Photo (optional, facility specific)
Testing & Competency
- Prime Core Competencies Exam: Must score 80% or higher
- Prime Specialty Exam: Must score 80% or higher
- Prime Skills Checklist
Additional Requirements
- Prime Orientation Packet: Upload Essentials Form and Post Test
- Prime Job Description: Signed by employee
- Prime Drug Screening: Minimum 10-panel test WITH THC included, within 60 days of start
- For CA locations only: 10-panel urine drug screen excluding THC plus psychoactive THC saliva test
