Job Summary

Under the direction of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director or manager, the Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) performs respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider. Focus is on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care tailored to patient age and population needs. May occasionally serve as Lead RCP responsible for the department during their shift.

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within 3 months of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association) upon hire or obtained within 60 days
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate preferred
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience preferred

Required Certifications and Compliance

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications current and maintained
• COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses plus booster) or completed declination
• Influenza vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
• Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
• MMR vaccination or positive titer showing immunity
• Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
• Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
• Tuberculosis (TB) test within one year of start date
• Annual respirator fit test completed prior to start
• Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work
• Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC) within 60 days of start
• National criminal background check within one year of start date
• Valid Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport

Required Exams and Checklists

• Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
• Prime Skills Checklist
• Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)

Additional Requirements

• Updated resume reflecting recent work history at time of offer acceptance
• Two professional references required (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor)
• Completion of agency attestation and employment eligibility verification (Form I-9)
• Compliance with all onboarding documentation and credential uploads

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years acute care experience preferred
• No explicit prior travel experience required

This position is a Long-Term Assignment (LTA) opportunity for a Registered Respiratory Therapist with acute care experience and required certifications, offering a 13-week contract in Ohio.
