Radiologic Technician

Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (6 weeks)
Shift: 07:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary

• Perform all radiological exams including X-Ray, DXA, Fluoroscopy, OR exams, Portables, and CT scans independently after orientation.
• Maintain professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and confirm correct exam orders.
• Explain procedures thoroughly to patients, addressing expectations and reducing anxiety.
• Utilize appropriate technical factors and proper patient positioning based on body habitus and pathology.
• Ensure high-quality images are obtained and successfully transferred for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain attentiveness to equipment and patient during procedures.
• Complete all required documentation in compliance with accrediting bodies and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of imaging equipment as per competency checklist.
• Manage time efficiently according to procedure complexity and patient condition.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technician license in South Carolina.
• Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• SCRQSA certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
