Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Work schedule: Monday-Friday, four 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
Operate CT scanners following physician orders to produce detailed diagnostic and interventional scans
Perform patient care tasks including assisting patients onto the scanner, verifying identification, and entering patient information
Ensure proper archiving and transmission of imaging files to PACS and RIS systems
Maintain department facilities and stay updated on outpatient procedures and policies
Competent in all routine outpatient CT exams
Adjust scanner and injector settings for exams, ensuring patient safety and image quality
Confirm correct patient and exam through patient interview and medical record review
Explain exams to patients considering physical, emotional, and language needs to ensure compliance

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in Massachusetts
Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
Experience in an outpatient setting
Competent in all routine outpatient CT exams

Certifications and Compliance Requirements

BLS certification (AHA preferred)
Primary source verification of professional license within 30 days of start date
N95 fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no onsite fit testing)
Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity
Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 15), no exemptions allowed
TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if >6 month break
Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI and national sex offender registry
Verification of highest level of education achieved
Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required
Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred
Tdap vaccine preferred within last 10 years
Submission of references, skills checklist, resume, and other professional documentation as required

Additional Notes

Must adhere to all departmental and hospital policies
No religious or medical exemptions allowed for vaccine and fit test requirements
Documentation and credential verification must be maintained and updated as specified
