Job Opportunity: RN Adult Oncology Clinic

Location: Brusly, Louisiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)

Job Description

• Triage and gather information for phone calls, team chats, and MyChart messages
• Collaborate with RN navigator and providers to answer patient questions
• Assist with scheduling labs, appointments, imaging, bone marrow biopsies, infusions, inpatient admissions, and other procedures
• Support other clinical needs as required
• Oncology certification preferred

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC only)
• Oncology certification preferred (not mandatory)
• Must meet all immunization and health requirements including:

  • COVID-19 vaccine or exemption accepted
  • MMR (proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement)
  • Hepatitis B (proof of 3 immunizations, positive titer, or declination)
  • Influenza vaccine (seasonal requirement with medical/religious exemptions accepted)
  • Tuberculosis test (QuantiFERON blood test within 1 year or 2-step skin test)
  • Varicella (proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination)
  • Tdap vaccine (within past 10 years or declination)
  • Annual TB questionnaire
• Fit test for N95 mask (3M 1860, 1860s, or 1870+) completed within 1 year prior to start and updated annually
• Health statement signed and dated within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start
• Current skills checklist and competency exams with passing scores (updated annually)
• Core competencies including HIPAA, patient rights, safety, infection control, elder abuse, cultural diversity, and others (updated annually)
• Eye exam and color vision test (Ishihara and Snellen) within 1 year prior to start

Background and Documentation Requirements

• Comprehensive criminal background check including county, national, and federal databases within 30 days prior to start
• Employment and education verification for the last 5 years
• Driving record check
• Professional resume submission required
• Recent professional photo (JPEG, neutral background)
