Job Opportunity: LVN / LPN - Outpatient Clinic (Travel/Contract)

Required Qualifications

• Valid California LVN License
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• Flu vaccination (no exemptions or declinations allowed)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an outpatient medical setting
• Phlebotomy and IV certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Pulmonology setting
• Experience with CS Link/Epic electronic health record system

Job Duties

• Perform and record quality control testing on designated equipment
• Schedule nurse visits for phlebotomy, testing, or other procedures
• Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications
• Draw and prepare lab work or specimens for pickup
• Handle clinic care telephone interactions with provider input
• Cover Medical Assistant duties during absences, illnesses, and breaks
• Float within scope to meet facility needs

Work Schedule & Environment

• Outpatient clinic setting
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Locals accepted within a 50-minute commute
• No pending license accepted
• No return-to-office (RTO) requests allowed in the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Burgundy
• Parking: Free, with parking pass or validation

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

• Background check including 7-year criminal history, SSN trace, nationwide and international searches if applicable
• Verification of highest level of education with diploma or transcript
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy, TNCC, EFM, CPI (as applicable)
• State license verification required
• Drug screening panel within 1 year of start (excluding Marijuana/THC)
• Immunization and health documentation including:

  • Flu vaccination (mandatory during flu season)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Photo for facility badge (passport-style photo meeting strict requirements)
• Completion of competency exams including medication and possibly EKG assessments (for RNs)
• Two professional references required, including one supervisory reference
• Attestation of prior radiation exposure if applicable to certain units (not typically for LVN outpatient role)

• First-time travelers accepted
• Position requires flexibility to float within the outpatient clinic as needed
• Strict flu vaccine policy with no declinations allowed; exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis but may delay start date
