Job Opportunity: PT Inpatient Rehab (Therapy/Rehabilitation)
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Schedule could be Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday.
- Seeking candidates with acute rehab experience or willingness to float there with proper orientation.
- Floating between similar units is required.
- Locals accepted; pending licenses are not accepted.
- First-time travelers accepted (no explicit prior travel experience required).
- Facility is an Acute Care Hospital with 277 staffed beds.
- Charting system: Epic.
- Free parking available.
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Physical Therapy - Inpatient Rehab)
- Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years in specialty.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Physical Therapy license for California.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification (verify if required).
- Other certifications as applicable per clinical track or unit requirements.
- Background Checks:
- Must have a background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
- Education verification required.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) required for travel starts after 2/5/2024, updated annually.
- Immunizations: TDAP, MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccination (or declination), COVID vaccine or declination.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- Drug screening: 10 panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates.
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format.
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to float between similar units as needed.
- Orientation provided for floating to acute rehab.
- Must comply with facility-specific floating policy acknowledgment.
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, and regional) prior to start and annually thereafter.
- Completion of Epic training modules as required by the facility.
- Compliance with all state-specific background and license verification requirements.
