Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 4 shifts per week
- 10 hours per shift with a 30-minute lunch
- Weekdays only
- Rotating day off based on business/scheduling needs
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
- First-time travelers accepted
- No prior travel experience required
Call and Float
- No call required
- No float required
Certifications Required
- ARRT (Radiologic Technologist)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, no certificates of completion accepted
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, no certificates of completion accepted
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required only for specific pediatric units (MOTT: PACU, Pediatric ICUs); not required for UH PACU
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - Required as applicable
- State License verification and NURSYS verification as applicable
Note: Certifications must be current with no lapses during the assignment. RQI cards are not accepted.
Required Documentation and Compliance
- I9 or Attestation
- Government Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- Background Checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG (updated annually)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Fit Mask test within 1 year (N95 masks accepted; PAPR requires failed fit test documentation)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; if past positive, clear chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (boosters required if titers are negative or equivocal)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant drug screens not accepted)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination required year-round with strict deadlines; no exemptions allowed
Orientation and Facility Requirements
- Pass/fail competency testing (EKG/Medication) required for PACU, Tele, and ICU units including CVICU
- Facility-specific orientation paperwork must be completed and submitted within 3 weeks of start date
- Badge and pager return policies apply at assignment end to avoid fees
- Candidates must review and sign confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, sexual harassment, and other facility-specific policies prior to start
References and Evaluations
- Two recent professional references required (must be from managers or supervisors; charge RN references not accepted)
- Facility will complete performance evaluations during assignment
This position offers a structured schedule with no call or float responsibilities, suitable for candidates with at least 2 years of specialty experience and current certifications. First-time travel healthcare workers are welcome to apply.
