Job Details

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
• Required Experience: 2 years (highest required years of experience)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (accepts 1st time travelers)
• Float: Yes, to acute unit as needed
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 10-15 patients
• Previous Charge Experience: Preferred, but not required

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Bachelor's degree (BA)
• California State License
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – as applicable by specialty
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – required for clinical positions
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as applicable by specialty
• National Certification/Verification prior to facility start and upon expiration (as applicable)
• State License primary source verification prior to facility start and upon expiration
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Required Skills and Clinical Experience

• Experience with Meditech electronic health records
• Acute care
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
• Knowledge of:

  • CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident)
  • Degenerative Diseases
  • Dysarthria
  • Dysphagia
  • Nervous System Disorders
  • Augmentative Communication
  • Alternative Communication Devices
  • Communication Board

Health and Background Requirements

• Background Check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• International Background Check if employment gap outside the US in past 7 years
• Education Verification or official transcript/diploma
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start (per Aya standard)
• N95 Respirator Fit Test within 1 year of start (for those with patient contact)
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B: Full vaccine series and titer or positive titer
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
• 9-Panel Drug Screen within 6 months of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination during flu season (Sept 9 - March 31)
• COVID-19 vaccine primary series and booster required (facility accepts exemption form)

Additional Notes

• Accepts first-time travelers
• Preferred but not required: previous charge experience
• Float to acute unit as needed
• Every other weekend work schedule

This position is suitable for therapists with at least 2 years of experience in therapy/rehabilitation, comfortable working in acute care and skilled nursing settings, and who meet the listed certification and health requirements.
