Job Description
- Position for a Speech Language Pathologist in a pediatric outpatient setting.
- Work schedule: Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
- Must live at least 25 miles from the facility.
- If called off by the facility, guaranteed contracted hours will still be paid.
Experience & Licensing Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- SLP license required in the state of Minnesota.
- No explicit requirement for prior travel experience.
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check required within one year of start, including:
- 7-year search, SS trace, counties, sex offender, nationwide.
- International searches if candidate has lived/worked outside the US.
- GSA/SAM and OIG excluded provider checks required.
- Education verification required (diploma acceptable in lieu of third-party verification).
- Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint clearance required before start; candidates cannot start with fingerprints pending unless approved with a “more time needed” letter.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start required.
- Drug testing (9 panel) required within 1 year of start.
- Various immunizations and titers required or accepted:
- Tdap vaccination (no religious declination accepted).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per Minnesota state guidelines.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) positive titer or 2 vaccines.
- Varicella positive titer or 2 vaccines.
- Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required annually (mask required if declined).
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM certifications are not required for this pediatric SLP position.
Additional Requirements
- Two references from recent employers within the last 2 years.
- Skills checklist required.
- Candidate must complete a Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint Questionnaire immediately after signing the contract.
- Photo for badge required (grey background, no selfies, JPG format).
- Dress code must be reviewed prior to start.
- Education modules will be completed during orientation (average 16 hours).
