PACU

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Oakland, California
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Pre and post op recovery of cardiac, vascular, and Interventional radiology patients, with bedside procedure support in the ISSU
Standby required 4 days per month
Weekends: every other
Call: if needed
Holidays: if falls on schedule

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Experience in a(n) Critical Care setting
Experience in a(n) Pediatric ER/ED setting
2 years of pre and post interventional procedural care experience

Additional Requirements

Fit mask within 90 days of start
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years of start or signed declination
Negative TB or chest X-ray
TB questionnaire
Rubeola (Measles) proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive IgG titer
Mumps proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive IgG titer
Rubella proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive IgG titer
Hepatitis B positive titer required, or proof of Hep B series, or signed declination
Varicella proof of 2 vaccinations or positive IgG titer
Oral saliva drug screen within 30 days of start
Physical exam within 90 days of start
Color blind exam within 90 days of start
Medical and employee information release form
Photo for badge
Badge photo request form and agreement
Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
Employment application
Work history verification
Education verification
Background check
EPLS/GSA/SAM
HHS/OIG

Onsite flu vaccination is available at Highland and Fairmont locations, at additional cost if used outside the assignment’s standard documentation process
