Stepdown Cardiac Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Anniston, Alabama
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Local candidates within 60 miles are considered
• Every other weekend required
• Priority start timeframe: within 2 weeks

Unit

• Post Intervention Cath Unit
• Step-down from the Cath Lab with overflow from Med-Surg

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Cardiac Stepdown experience within the last year
• 1 year of Cardiac Stepdown experience
• Pre/Post Cath Lab experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Required Documents and Compliance

• Driver’s license or state ID
• Social Security number
• Background check covering all locations lived/worked in the last 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Transcript, diploma, or third-party education verification
• Competency exam, as applicable to the specialty
• Signed traveler attendance policy
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit testing within 12 months of start
• Tdap vaccination or declination within 10 years of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past 12 months
• TB questionnaire
• Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation
• Varicella immunity documentation
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or declination
• Skills checklist, updated annually
