PACU RN Travel Contract
Location
Portland, Oregon
Schedule
- Tuesday through Friday
- 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Flexibility is required based on operational needs
- The role includes time split between post-anesthesia care and break coverage in another unit
Contract Length
13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- 1 year of ICU experience
- 1 year of Emergency Department experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic
Work Setting
- Acute care and perianesthesia
- Care for adolescent through geriatric patients
Key Clinical Areas
- Post-surgical recovery
- Break coverage across surgical recovery units
- Surgical specialties include ENT, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, urology, gynecology, electrophysiology, cath lab, interventional radiology, urogynecology, oculoplastics, vascular, and ophthalmology
Start-Ready Items
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Skills checklist within 1 year of start
- Two manager or supervisor references from the last 24 months
- At least 7 years of work history with city and state for each position
- Signed professional appearance policy
- Signed job description
- Signed coronavirus protocol attestation
- Fit testing within 1 year prior to start
- Negative TB screening or chest x-ray on file within 10 calendar days of start
- TB questionnaire
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap documentation or declination as applicable
- Negative drug screen within 3 months prior to start
- Background check and required screening items must be completed before start
Orientation / Onboarding
- RN onboarding modules must be completed before start
- Safe vaccine administration module is required for RNs except OR RNs
- Additional RN training may be required based on unit assignment
