Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Columbus, Ohio
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays
- Must be willing to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Provides care in a Progressive Care Unit
- Approximate patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- 1 year of Progressive Care Unit experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide care to Progressive Care Unit patients
- Perform IV starts
- Monitor telemetry
Additional Notes
- Parking is available through multiple permit options, with shuttle service included on one option
- Annual stroke education may be required depending on unit assignment
- Pre-start compliance items include background screening, fingerprinting, references, employment application, skills checklist, and health documentation
