PICU RN

Job Overview

Travel/Contract RN role in Charlottesville, Virginia.
52-week assignment.
Shifts: Night (3x12 Hours) 19:00–7:00 or Day (3x12 Hours) 7:00–19:00.
36 or 48 hours per week.
Rotating schedule.
Every other holiday; must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays.
3 weekends per six-week schedule.
May be required to float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Peds cardiac experience

Scheduling Notes

Can approve 40 hours for time off.
Time off is not approved for the first 2 weeks of the contract.

ICU is 1-2 patients, they float you to med surg and stepdown with a 3 patient max. Overall a good contract

Cons

Never had a tech on the floor. Some units are very nice and some are mean
