Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Rehab

Location: San Francisco, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Acute inpatient and acute hospital rehabilitation care
  • Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
  • Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed
  • Weekend work required depending on unit needs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
  • Background check clearance including 7-year history
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination
  • Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or failed tests)
  • Completion of required competency exams as applicable (e.g., medication/pharmacology, telemetry/dysrhythmia if applicable)
  • Completion of facility-specific documents and trainings prior to start (e.g., code of conduct, vendor training, regulatory orientation)

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender, and education verification
  • FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks updated annually
  • Employment history verification for up to 7 years with no gaps over 30 days
  • References: 2 professional references within 3 years required (Aya requirement)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • CCRN (Critical Care RN)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
  • NIH Stroke Certification

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
