Job Summary

Seeking a CT Technologist with experience in Radiology/Cardiology to work in a 300-bed facility's Radiology CT unit. The position involves operating Philips CT scanners, performing venipuncture and injections, and working with a patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric (ages 0-100). The role includes shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM and 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekend, call, and holiday requirements as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans of chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, cervical spine, and pulmonary embolism studies.
• Administer contrast injections (venipuncture certification required).
• Use EPIC documentation and PbXIS medication systems.
• Adhere to unit-specific protocols and safety standards.
• Participate in charge responsibilities as required.
• Self-schedule rotations within the unit.
• Maintain professional dress code and personal grooming standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• ARRT CT certification.
• Venipuncture certification.
• Experience with EPIC.

Orientation & Training

• 14 days of orientation.
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions available.
• No block scheduling; shifts may vary Monday through Sunday.

Work Environment & Equipment

• 2 Philips CT scanners on the main campus.
• Respiratory and anesthesia support available 24/7.
• Unit may perform up to 40 CT scans per 24-hour period.

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications as applicable.
• National tech certification verification within 30 days of assignment start.
• Background check within 30 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
• Education verification as required.
• Annual health and safety requirements including:

  • Physical exam (within 12 months)
  • N95 fit test
  • Immunizations: Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination), Flu vaccine or declination, Pneumonia vaccine or declination (NY only)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
  • Drug testing within 12 months (NY only)
  • COVID vaccination or declination

Additional Requirements

• Complete all required facility-specific documents and forms prior to start.
• Provide 2 professional references from assignments within the last 3 years.
• Submit a 2-year verification of most recent clinical work history.
• Must comply with dress code: scrubs (gray), closed-toe shoes, minimal jewelry, secured hair/beard.
• Must complete required online modules (EPIC and Cornerstone) before start date.

• Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation.
• Seasonal tire requirements (November-April).
• No block schedules; flexibility required.
• Floating is not required but may be assigned as needed.
