Registered Nurse - NICU

Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have 2 years of NICU experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU.
• Required to work 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
• Must be willing to work on July 3rd or 4th.
• Epic experience within the last 12 months is required and must be detailed on profile.
• Flu vaccine is mandatory; no exemptions accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee.
• Minimum of 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current STABLE certification.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience in an inpatient setting.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Additional Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start, including all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant drug screens not accepted).
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands.
• N95 Fit Mask test within 1 year of start (no PAPR allowed).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start.
• Required immunizations or titers:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start.
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (11/1 - 3/31), no declinations or exemptions accepted.
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Complete employment application/resume.
• Must pass an EPIC test (one attempt only) prior to or shortly after start.

Holiday/Weekend Requirements

• 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
• Must be willing to work July 3rd or 4th.

Notes

• Locals and first-time travelers are accepted at the same rate.
• Flu exemptions are not accepted under any circumstances.

Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.
