Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Bolivar, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform intubations; must be proficient and comfortable with this skill.
• Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilator support in a critical care setting.
• Experience with arterial blood gas (ABG) draws required.
• Devices used include Servo I ventilators (required), V60 + BiPAP, Teleflex heated high flow system, Smart Best high frequency chest wall oscillator, and ResMed AirCurve 10 BiPAP.
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, from 6 PM to 6 AM.
• Schedule includes every other weekend; no on-call required.
• Block scheduling is not accommodated.
• Scrubs color: Navy Blue.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including within the last year
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
• Experience managing invasive ventilators
• Experience managing non-invasive ventilators
• Current certifications:

  • NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

Candidates must provide:

  • Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the last year.
  • Immunizations or titers for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella.
  • Drug screening (9-panel) within the last 12 months.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption documentation.
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Completion of required competency exams and orientation safety acknowledgments.
