Job Details
- Shift: 40 hours per week, days (exact shift times pending)
- Call Requirement: None
- Float Requirement: None
- Weekend Requirement: None
- Unit Systems: Omnicell, Meditech Expanse, SBAR
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Operating Room)
- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
- Prior Travel Experience: First-time travelers may be accepted if they have the right experience; otherwise, no first timers
- License: Valid RN license for Massachusetts required
- Certifications (AHA only, provider/instructor/RQI acceptable):
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – as required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – as required
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Education verification or official transcript
- Massachusetts Statewide iCORI clearance within 30 days of start
- Primary source verification of state license
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (acceptable masks: 1870+, 1860, 1860S); onsite fit testing available if needed
- Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray per facility guidelines; annual TB questionnaire required in lieu of annual test
- Immunity or vaccination documentation for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or completed series; if incomplete, must provide proof of vaccination schedule)
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccine or signed declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 booster documentation or signed declination
Additional Requirements
- Passport-style photo for badge
- Completion and signing of facility-specific policies and agreements (confidentiality, compliance, behavior standards, etc.)
- Completion of emergency contact and vehicle registration forms prior to start
- Upload of required immunization and health documents to facility’s compliance system prior to start
Notes
- Travelers located within 30 miles of the facility may have different rate considerations (not included here)
- Candidates must complete all compliance documentation and health screenings prior to start date
- No call, float, or weekend requirements for this assignment
This position is suitable for RNs with at least 1 year of OR experience, including those new to travel nursing if they meet experience criteria.
