Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Seeking a Multi-modality Technologist skilled in CT and X-Ray imaging. The role involves providing quality imaging and patient care, explaining procedures to patients, and producing images for licensed practitioners' interpretation.
Shift:
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call required
- Possible floating to similar units within scope
Required Qualifications
- Valid Multimodal Technologist license in South Carolina (SCRQSA)
- Minimum 2 years of Multimodal Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT Registered Technologist in Computed Tomography (ARRT (C))
- ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT (R))
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with a 60-mile radius rule for commuting
- Locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Facility allows guaranteed hours with the possibility to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- During hurricane season (June-November), employees may be assigned to emergency response teams
Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT Radiography (R) and CT (C) registrations
- South Carolina Radiologic Technologist license (SCRQSA)
- BLS (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- ACLS (American Heart Association; required for this role)
- Radiation badge provided by agency (required for Radiology/Cardiology roles)
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Annual background check covering last 7 years of residence/employment
- Drug screening (10-panel urine test within 90 days of start)
- Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and titers required or proof of immunity for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start or proof of prior positive with follow-up chest x-ray
- Flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Aug-April)
- COVID vaccination highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
Documentation & Onboarding
- Proof of 2 clinical references required
- Complete employment application including all PTO, contract assignments, agency names, and no unaccounted gaps
- Clear, passport-style photo for badge (frontal view, business casual attire)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start (approx. 2 hours)
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands, updated annually
- Radiation exposure attestation required prior to start if radiation badge is needed
Notes
- Candidates cannot start without their radiation badge; badges may take 5-7 days to process and ship
- Facility uses Epic for charting
- Scrub color: teal blue top, black bottoms
- Parking fees apply for nights and weekends with a one-time $20 parking pass fee
This position is ideal for experienced CT/X-Ray technologists with multi-modality skills, who meet the licensing and certification requirements and are comfortable working night shifts with weekend rotations.
