Registered Nurse – Endoscopy (Travel/Contract)

Location: San Mateo, California
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule is fixed: 5x8 days with no flexibility.
• Specialty: Registered Nurse in Endoscopy.
• Must have a valid California RN license in hand prior to start.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California.
• Minimum of 1 year of Endoscopy experience, with recent experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Licensure & Documentation

• Must provide a current, color Driver’s License or State ID.
• Background checks required within 30 days of start, including multi-county history and sex offender registry.
• Monthly verification of EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG required.
• NURSYS verification of RN license required within 30 days of start.
• State license verification required within 30 days of start.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance of communicable diseases.
• N95 Fit Test or Max Air CAPR completed within 1 year of start.
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years or annual declination.
• Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 1 year; if positive, chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required.
• Required titers with appropriate boosters if negative or equivocal for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (declination accepted if non-reactive titer)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31).
• COVID-19 vaccination highly recommended but not mandatory; must provide proof of vaccination, medical/religious exemption, or declination.

Additional Requirements

• Must review and sign HIPAA manual and acknowledgement prior to start.
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement required.
• Two professional references within the last 3 years.
• Annual skills checklist required.
• E-Verify attestation required for subcontractors.

Notes

• This position is not a trauma center assignment; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is not required.
• Some certifications and competencies are unit-specific; verify based on assignment.
• Failure to pass the Epic test-out exam will result in denial of employment for Med Surg RNs.
