Registered Nurse – Endoscopy (Travel/Contract)
Location: San Mateo, California
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule is fixed: 5x8 days with no flexibility.
- Specialty: Registered Nurse in Endoscopy.
- Must have a valid California RN license in hand prior to start.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California.
- Minimum of 1 year of Endoscopy experience, with recent experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
Licensure & Documentation
- Must provide a current, color Driver’s License or State ID.
- Background checks required within 30 days of start, including multi-county history and sex offender registry.
- Monthly verification of EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG required.
- NURSYS verification of RN license required within 30 days of start.
- State license verification required within 30 days of start.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance of communicable diseases.
- N95 Fit Test or Max Air CAPR completed within 1 year of start.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years or annual declination.
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 1 year; if positive, chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required.
- Required titers with appropriate boosters if negative or equivocal for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (declination accepted if non-reactive titer)
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31).
- COVID-19 vaccination highly recommended but not mandatory; must provide proof of vaccination, medical/religious exemption, or declination.
Additional Requirements
- Must review and sign HIPAA manual and acknowledgement prior to start.
- Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement required.
- Two professional references within the last 3 years.
- Annual skills checklist required.
- E-Verify attestation required for subcontractors.
Notes
- This position is not a trauma center assignment; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is not required.
- Some certifications and competencies are unit-specific; verify based on assignment.
- Failure to pass the Epic test-out exam will result in denial of employment for Med Surg RNs.
